Topic Research

Image
The topic I chose to research about is the OU ghost story. Plot idea #1: My first idea would be more of an origin story talking about how a student years ago was mistreated. The plot would probably involve taking the reader through the perspective of the mistreated student. He then would tragically pass and haunt the school. Plot idea #2: This idea would revolve around students trying to solve a mystery involving the disappearance of several other classmates. It would be reminiscent of a scooby-doo type mystery where the gang finds clues and seeks to gain more information to reach their ultimate goal. Plot idea #3: This idea would be about students who are trying to convince the rest of the school that the school is haunted in order to either get a test date rescheduled or get revenge on their classmates. This is sort of the opposite of the scooby doo idea in that other students would think the school is haunted only to find out that it was just the shenanigans of their ve...

Feedback Strategies

Image
The two articles I read about how to effectively give feedback were Be a Mirror , and Five Reasons to stop saying Good Job . I really enjoyed both articles. The idea behind the first article is that a "mirror" gives us unbiased truth. A mirror's job is to reflect back what is there without judgement. The article urges us to do the same when giving feedback to other. The second article gives reason to not always praise others, but rather be up-front and honest. What I found interesting is that although these are two completely separate articles, their main points were nearly identical.                                                                Feedback Image

He had a naturally athletic build to him accompanied by good looks, charisma and humility. As he joined the kids in the first semester of the school year he became be...
