The topic I chose to research about is the OU ghost story. My first idea would be more of an origin story talking about how a student years ago was mistreated. The plot would probably involve taking the reader through the perspective of the mistreated student. He then would tragically pass and haunt the school. This idea would revolve around students trying to solve a mystery involving the disappearance of several other classmates. It would be reminiscent of a scooby-doo type mystery where the gang finds clues and seeks to gain more information to reach their ultimate goal.  This idea would be about students who are trying to convince the rest of the school that the school is haunted in order to either get a test date rescheduled or get revenge on their classmates. This is sort of the opposite of the scooby doo idea in that other students would think the school is haunted only to find out that it was just the shenanigans of their vengeful classmates. Topic Brainstorm possible topics: (Option 1) OU Ghost Stories- As I was scrolling through the list of possible topics this immediately jumped out at me. It's easy to talk about a topic or idea when you yourself have experienced it or the situation in someway applies to you. During the summer between my senior year of HS and Freshman year of OU, I attended a bridge program where they prepared us to be engineers and showed us the ropes of OU. The first night we were there the upperclassmen took us around OU's campus and told us about the haunted elements and legends involving our new campus. Although it was cheesy, there was a level of excitement that came over all of us as we told and listened to fictional beings that possess and dwell in our everyday environment.
