Week 15 Story: The Nurturer

In a certain village there lived a young couple that was known by all to be happy, peaceful and madly in love. The town was thankful to have a young couple like them that represented all that people should strive for in a relationship. The town was devastated to learn that the wife passed away while attempting to undergo natural childbirth in the comfort of her home, leaving her husband to be a widower. The people of the town sent their condolences. The people of the town volunteered to help the man and his new child by sending food and helping around their house any way that they could. The widower was stressed and decided the best course of action was to hire an old woman to look after his child. This was to fill the empty spot of nourisher that the late mother left. There once lived a rich man, so rich that he never needed to leave his house. He lived in Los Angeles, CA with his three sons and wife. His children were so sheltered and spoiled that they knew nothing about the the real, outside world. The oldest son, Francis, was teased by his schoolmates who claimed he knew nothing about the misery of the real world. Francis resented this and one day told his father that he was sick of staying at home. Francis wanted to encounter what misery really was. His father initially objected but realized his son would have to find out about life the hard way. Francis then packed up all of his belongings and set off on is Maserati to find misery. Before he really got going on the road, Francis made a quick pit stop at the local gas station and asked the cashier where misery was. A young girl named Muffet made lunch one day, she made her special meal; curds and whey.  as she prepared to feast by herself at home. She was a fantastic cook, never needed a recipe book but always ate her meals alone. Little Miss Muffet Sat on a small tuffet, Eating of curds and whey; There came a large spider, And sat down beside her, And frightened Miss Muffet away. This caused her to spill the food further dampening her mood, as she was deathly afraid of small creatures They made her sweat  and intensely fret  turn bright red, would all of her features. She could not overcome this fear, when small bugs drew near, she would always feel sick and afraid. She was now getting older and sought to overcome this without someone coming to her  aid. There was once a coyote who was walking on a straight path. He suddenly heard a voice that told him to stop. He looked down and saw a snake that was on the path. The snake told him to exit the path and walk around instead of stepping over him. The Coyote told the snake that he had just as much a right to the path as the snake did, and wished to continue on the path. The snake warned the Coyote that if he chose to pass over him instead of walking around, he would be bitten by the snake. The coyote weighed his options and chose the few moments of inconvenience by walking around the snake. The snake hissed and taunted the Coyote as he walked away but the Coyote ignored him and continued to his destination. After some time he came to a creek. As he was about to drink he saw himself and realized how happy he was to not have risked his life earlier. Then he walked on until he felt sleepy. A long time ago, the world was populated with only one woman among a world full of thousands of men. Rumor spread that there was a beautiful woman in the area and all of the men went out to search for this unfamiliar creature. One of the young men in the north land traveled east in pursuit of the lone woman. He traveled to her house and married her. However, the son of the headsmen was also traveling east and also found the house of the woman sometime later. The two men fought for some time before the intruder, the son of the headsmen, began to gain the upper hand. The son of the headsman was about to end the husband's life until the wife begged him to stop. The wife offered a compromise. The two stopped fighting so that they could listen to her proposition. The woman offered up an idea to split herself in half so that the two men could both be happy, and keep their lives. Once upon a time, in a very hot country, a man fell very ill. He asked his wife to go out to the local river and draw some water for him. This water was famous for its healing properties and so the wife set out to retrieve some for her husband.  The wife sneaked past the ogre guarding the river and collected water before returning back home. When he wife presented the water to her husband he quickly drank it and asked for more. The wife admitted that she did not have more and that the amount she brought back should've been enough to heal him. The husband loved being tended too almost as much as he loved the taste of the water. He demanded that she get more for him. The wife expressed how concerned she was about the ogre who was guarding the river but the husband did not care. The wife set out again to fetch more water. This time the ogre was expecting her and quickly moved in between her and the great river. The woman pleaded for her life but the ogre claimed he had not eaten i...

Week 7 Story: The Antidote

There was once a man named James who was backpacking through West Africa, hunting for wild-life. While he was exploring, he came came across a ditch with three figures inside of it. These figures were revealed to be a leopard,  a serpent, a rat, and a man. They called out to him and begged him to help them out of the hole. As a hunter, James initially felt that he should only let the man free from the hole, but after great deliberation he helped them all escape from the pit. They all swore to make it up to him and prove their worth because of this great act. A few days pasted and the serpent found James and offered him a very powerful antidote for snake poison. He told James that all he needed to do was mix the serum with a traitor's blood and the victim could then drink it and be healed. James thanked the serpent, and made sure that he always carried the serum on him. The Leopard proved his worth by joining James  in his hunting trips, and helping him catch his prey. That s...

There once was a man named Chuck who was in his mid 40s and worked as a real estate agent. Chuck lived a simple life working his job, and tending to his yard. Every day of Chuck's life appeared to be identical. Chuck would wake up, work on yard and go to work. After work, Chuck would watch the news, eat dinner and go to bed. One day at work, Chuck's co worker Jason came over to his cubicle. After some small talk, Jason told Chuck that he should add some flavor to his life. Jason claimed that there was nothing worse in life than having regrets. This conversation weighed on Chuck's mind for the remainder of the work day. As he drove home he wondered what Jason meant by adding more flavor to his life. He had a solid job with a good home, Chuck felt content.      There once was a wealthy and powerful prince named prince Lock. Prince Lock was grieving from the sudden and unexpected passing of his closest friend Theo several months ago. Prince Lock was an extremely kind and affable person, so naturally he had many friends, but none of them could quite match or surpass the bond that he and Theo had. Lock's adviser noticed that the young prince had been in a melancholy mood and suggested that he take all of his closest friends to his lake house for a weekend full of fun that would get his mind off of things and remind him of how great his life still was. Lock loved this idea and invited all of his closest friends as well as some family to his overwhelmingly great lake house for the weekend. The weekend was going perfectly, one of his great friends John, had traveled more than 24 hours to be there and brought his wife Sarah with him.  There once was a foster home located in Dallas Texas that was run by the kindest man in the entire city. His name was Theo and he dedicated his life to helping those in need and caring for as many children in search of a safe home as possible.There were currently 50 children between the ages of 7-18 that Theo was housing. One day, Theo walked through the front door with a young , 18 year old boy by the name of Joseph. He introduced him to the rest of the kids and told them to make Joseph feel at home. Joseph was immediately welcomed and soon became extremely popular. He even found his clique hanging out with 10 other boys close to his age that quickly grew to become like his brothers. They went everywhere and did everything with each other. As the weeks passed it became evident that Joseph excelled in numerous ways. The year is 2020. Angela and her three daughters Sarah, Emily, and Ruth are relaxing by their pool on a hot Saturday afternoon. They all drink some water to cool down and hydrate when all of a sudden the oldest daughter Sarah mentions how although she loves water, nothing quite hits the spot like lemonade. Angela nods in agreement and volunteers to go buy some in the city and bring it back for everyone to drink. Emily, the middle child, volunteers to go with her but Angela insists that they all stay and relax while she makes the quick trip. Before she leaves, she asks the girls if there is anything else she can get for them while she's out in the city. Ruth is scrolling through Instagram when she sees an add for Joe's Roses that catches her attention. She tells Angela that she wants her to bring back three roses.
