Rumor spread that there was a beautiful woman in the area and all of the men went out to search for this unfamiliar creature. One of the young men in the north land traveled east in pursuit of the lone woman. He traveled to her house and married her. However, the son of the headsmen was also traveling east and also found the house of the woman sometime later. The two men fought for some time before the intruder, the son of the headsmen, began to gain the upper hand. The son of the headsman was about to end the husband's life until the wife begged him to stop. The wife offered a compromise. The two stopped fighting so that they could listen to her proposition. The woman offered up an idea to split herself in half so that the two men could both be happy, and keep their lives. She claimed that for the half of her that the men did not receive could be replaced by clay, and would give

Week 9 Story: The Cost of Water

This water was famous for its healing properties and so the wife set out to retrieve some for her husband.  The wife sneaked past the ogre guarding the river and collected water before returning back home. When he wife presented the water to her husband he quickly drank it and asked for more. The wife admitted that she did not have more and that the amount she brought back should've been enough to heal him. The husband loved being tended too almost as much as he loved the taste of the water. He demanded that she get more for him. The wife expressed how concerned she was about the ogre who was guarding the river but the husband did not care. The wife set out again to fetch more water. Week 8 Progress

Image
I am satisfied with my progress so far. I am on track to get an A in this class. Class assignments that I enjoyed the most would probably be just our weekly storytelling. In my major this is a part of my brain that I rarely explore. It has been refreshing to use my imagination again. Motivational Image

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Image
I would say that the feedback and comments I have received in this class have been of the highest quality. I think it was important that we all read those articles about giving and receiving  feedback. I think I could improve in giving feedback but it can be difficult because I don't always know what the student is going for, given that we have so much autonomy in this class. I will continue to do what I have been, especially when it comes to listening to feedback, because it has made me improve.                                                                     ( Cheezburger )

Week 8 Reading and Writing

Image
I took the time to change the look of my blog using the Theme-Customization. I also changed other feature and feel happy with the new look. As far as my website design, I am satisfied with what I already had. I think I have made great progress, as I look at my earlier stories from the beginning of the semester. I struggled to understand what I was trying to do when writing those weekly stories, but after reading my classmates, I can see when i started to improve. The image below was the image I chose for my first assignment. I chose this image just to remind me how far I have come. I am thoroughly satisfied with this class and how it is going so far.     Image posted by  Juhasz Imre

Week 7 Story: The Antidote

Image
There was once a man named James who was backpacking through West Africa, hunting for wild-life. While he was exploring, he came came across a ditch with three figures inside of it. These figures were revealed to be a leopard,  a serpent, a rat, and a man. They called out to him and begged him to help them out of the hole. As a hunter, James initially felt that he should only let the man free from the hole, but after great deliberation he helped them all escape from the pit. They all swore to make it up to him and prove their worth because of this great act. A few days pasted and the serpent found James and offered him a very powerful antidote for snake poison. He told James that all he needed to do was mix the serum with a traitor's blood and the victim could then drink it and be healed. James thanked the serpent, and made sure that he always carried the serum on him. The Leopard proved his worth by joining James  in his hunting trips, and helping him catch his prey. That same w
